Band Seeks Awesome Name

So we're looking for a new name. For the un-initiated, I'm in a band that is currently called Muso (moose-o), but we're looking for a new name, for a few different reasons.

1. On paper, a lot of people don't know how to pronounce it. Usually we get called Muze-o or Mew-so. Somebody even called us Muse once. Sometimes even when we tell people, they keep calling us Muze-o. It's not their fault. We're the ones with the weird name.

2. Its meaning takes long to explain, and there's not much payoff frankly.

3. Copyright reasons that are too boring to go into.

4. We're recording another album, which is going really well, and we plan to make a big push with it in the coming months. At which time it'll be useful to have a cool name people can pronounce, we figure.

For ideas, we poured over books of antiquated and subculture slang (this book was especially great, if for no other reason than it introduced me to Ciazarn, the Pig Latin-esque language of Carnies). But overall the pickens were slim.

And I still haven't figured out -- what makes a good band name?

What I Like

2. Fugazi
3. The Decemberists
4. Vampire Weekend

(this category can get kind of unruly, though: Death Cab For Cutie)

What I Don't

Long and/or really indie names
1. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
2. Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin
